In case you haven't heard there's a live action 'Voltron' show heading either to stream or cinemas possibly this year. Let's run through what we know.
WHAT DAT: The new live-action 'Voltron' movie follows a fresh squad of pilots controlling five robotic lions that combine into one big ass galaxy-saving mech known throughout the ends as Voltron! Mission parameters were your basic to swing fists with evil warlords, monsters, and whatever space mess pulls up that week. So basically 'Power Rangers' meets 'Pacific Rim' with more of that sweet retro anime energy... well ya know, if done right.
WHEN DAT: Expected sometime in late 2027 or early 2028. Filming has already wrapped in Australia, so now they're eyebrows deep in CGI hell trying to reduce the goofiness vectors of 90ft multicolored robo-lions.
WHO DAT:
Henry Cavill (Man of Steel, The Witcher Your Dreams) — playing King Alfor
Sterling K. Brown (Invincible, This Is Us) — playing Zarkon
Rita Ora (Descendants: The Rise of Red, Pokémon Detective Pikachu) — playing Haggar the Witch
Daniel Quinn-Toye (Badults) — playing Keith
Alba Baptista (Warrior Nun) — mystery role so far
WHERE DAT: No solid word yet, but most likely to land on Prime Video via Amazon MGM Studios, though there’s still whispers about a possible theatrical release first.
KNOWN FROM: Based on the classic 1984 anime-inspired cartoon 'Voltron: Defender of the Universe', where five space pilots combine their robot lions... yeah yeah you got it. There was also Netflix reboot 'Voltron: Legendary Defender' that had anime fans a bit cheesed but was still worthy of a watch.

What factors would Voltron need to meet for you to leave your house to see it on a big screen?
